Have you seen people who definitely know their way around the guitar and not just play them randomly? If you have, have you ever felt a tinge of jealousy at what they can do? If you are just knowing the ropes around this instrument, here is one word of advice you should pay heed: There is no program in the world, no matter how award winning they are (which is what Steve Krenz’s program is, hy the way) that could give you the skills you want if you do not put into the equation hard work and perseverance. Dedication to consistent and constant practice is the product of perseverance; in turn, perseverance is fuelled by passion and the unflinching desire to learn.
One of the other issues you’ll ran into with learning the guitar is the pain that accompanies your training and you will never be exempted from this . I’m talking about literal pain from the tips of your fingers, to your knuckles to your neck and to your back. Now this is actually very normal but even so you can minimize it by remembering to stretch before you start practicing. You can also take breaks after every 30 to 45 minutes of practice. One pain that will be impossible to avoid is the one you’ll get from your fingertips. It’s inevitable, you will get blisters on your first tries with the guitar. The only way to get around this is to keep playing until calluses build up. Once that forms, the pain will go away as well.
